Memory

The concert for the senior citizens of Piteå went very well and it was lots of fun! There were about 130 people in the audience and they truly seemed to enjoy the program we performed. As I mentioned in my previous post I sang “Memory” from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Cats” and here is a video of my performance. I hope you’ll like it!

  1. Lovely well done, do you perform many music theatre numbers on your course or does it mainly concentrate on classical? I have a friend who is doing mixed music theatre/classical BA Music but my course is 100% classical. I still do music theatre numbers in concerts 😉

    • Thank you!
We mainly concentrate on the classical repertoire, but since this was a concert for the senior citizens we wanted to do a program with songs they would recognize. So we did “La vie en rose”, “Memory”, “Queen of the Night” from “The Magic Flute”, one of the songs from “Chess” (have forgotten the name of the song in english), one duet from “Cosi van tutte”, etc etc. So it was a very varied program. 🙂

I love to do musical theatre numbers as well, and try to sneak them in every now and then. But like you, my course is 100% classical. 🙂
